About Goodwin Development Trust

What is the Goodwin Development Trust?
Goodwin Development Trust is a charitable organisation established in 1994 by residents of the Thornton Estate in Hull to improve their quality of life and the services available on their estate. From this catalyst of community spirit has grown an organisation that truly reflects the ethos of social enterprise. Goodwin Development Trust now employs more than 170 local people delivering 20 different services from numerous sites across the city. Goodwin's success stems from an entrepreneurial spirit, organisational flexibility and a business approach to working in partnership with statutory, voluntary and professional organisations to deliver quality services for the community.

Why has Goodwin brought the Oxypod™ to market?
The Goodwin Trust works tirelessly to combat poverty and its damaging effects - whether it be fuel poverty, food poverty or poverty of expectation and ambition. Soaring energy costs and increasing constraints on household incomes have made fuel poverty a very real issue for the vulnerable in society - which is why we as a Charitable Trust have brought the Oxypod™ to market. They are a not-for-profit organization - so all monies generated from sales of the Oxypod™ will be ploughed back into furthering charitable objectives and developing initiatives to significantly improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable people in society.
